Meet Our Staff
Mrs. Beth Zaepfel
ESL Chair, Teacher
I am so excited to be starting my tenth year collaborating with classroom teachers here at Stoney Creek. I love teaching and enjoy working with students from different backgrounds and cultures. I have students in all grades and feel great joy when they excel in their regular classrooms. ESL students are really special and being bilingual is a huge asset in life.
I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I love to read, take walks, swim, and play with my grandkids. I love animals, although I don't have any pets right now. My favorite places are the mountains or the beach. I grew up in Florida and enjoy going back there every year.
Mrs. Jess Blair
ESL Chair, Bilingual Teacher
This is my fifth year teaching ESL at Stoney Creek Elementary, where it has been such a joy to work with so many students and families from around the world. My teaching adventure started overseas where I taught English to adult learners in Andalucia, Spain for three wonderful years. Directly after, I earned my Master's Degree in TESOL and Linguistics at West Virginia University. Before teaching at Stoney Creek, I was an Intensive English Instructor at UNCC, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia University. I'm grateful to have a profession where I get to teach what I'm truly passionate about, all the while impacting the children of the future!
